Golf Region/Area Results

The Golf Area and Region Championships are underway or have already taken place. Check back for updates as we give you a list of each local team’s Region Champion and/or Runner-Up, and the team overall finish.

AREA 4-AAAAAA

Habersham Central Boys

The Raiders didn’t qualify as a team for state, but junior Jack Rowe (68) was the Area Runner-Up, falling by one stroke. He qualified individually for the state tournament. The Raiders shot a 331 to finish 8th.

Habersham Central Girls

The Lady Raiders came in 3rd place, qualifying for Sectionals. Sophomore Addie Maney fired an 81, 3 strokes back from the low medalist, coming in 2nd herself. The girls scored a 261.

REGION 4-AAAAA

Jefferson Boys

Jefferson qualified for state sectionals with a 4th-place finish and a 330 score. Tripp Dye came in 5th overall with a 75. Welton Wall had an 83, Tristan Chappetta and Dhruv Patel had an 86, and Charlie Souther and Dalton Dye both had 88s.

Jefferson Girls

The Lady Dragons came in as the Area Runner-Up with a 273 team score, qualifying for state. AK Patton was 3rd overall with an 83.

Stephens County Boys

AREA 4-AAA

Dawson County Boys

The Tigers placed 3rd with a score of 218, just 2 strokes out of second and 16 back from Wesleyan as the champions. Dawson County qualified for state! Jeremy Ray and Walker Millholland both had a 78. Will McNatt had an 80 and Caden Reed an 82.

Dawson County Girls

The Lady Tigers were 5th with a 99 in a crowded area. Samantha Dewendt was Dawson’s low medalist.

Lumpkin County Boys

The Indians season came to a close. Jac Chambers carded an 82, coming in 16th place individually.

Lumpkin County Girls

Lumpkin County’s season ended, though Nicole Sandberg shot a 96 to finish 12th out of 57 golfers.

White County Boys

White County’s boys finished 6th in the Area. Ollie Freeman led with a 79 (11th overall). The Warriors season is now complete.

White County Girls

The Lady Warriors tied for the Region Championship! That qualifies White County for the state tournament!

AREA 3-AA

Banks County Boys

The Leopards won the Area Championship behind a very solid outing by their top 4 golfers. Jake Dalton and Hunter Bond both fired a 77 to finish tied for Area Runner-Up honors individually. Nate Crabbe (82) and Matthew Roberts (85) were not far behind, as Banks County is headed to state after a final score of 321.

Banks County Girls

The Lady Leopards placed 3rd in Region 8-AA, with Ralee Davidson leading the way with a 118. Presley Hobson was right behind with a 120. Banks shot a 238 overall. That qualified the girls for state.

Union County Boys

The Panthers finished 6th at area, ending their season after a 381 score. Huston West was a single stroke from qualifying for state individually.

Union County Girls

The Union County girls came in as Area Runner-Up, as Lydia McNabb guided the team with a 95 to get the Lady Panthers to state. The team scored a 206.

AREA 1-A DI

Commerce Boys

The Commerce boys came in 3rd place in a tie with a 369 score, and lost in a sudden death playoff to be held out of state contention.

Commerce Girls

The Lady Tigers came in 3rd place with a 218, earning a spot in the state tournament.

Rabun County Boys

The Wildcats secured a spot at state with a 3rd-place finish, tying and then winning a playoff after carding a team score of 369. Owen Thompson was the Area Runner-Up with a 79 to lead Rabun County.

Tallulah Falls Boys

The Indians (359) came in as Area Runner-Up, with Canon Brooks leading TFS with an 81, good for a top-5 finish. Tallulah Falls qualifies for state on the boys side for the first time as a complete team.

Tallulah Falls Girls

Mallory Higgins shot an 86 (personal best) to lead Tallulah Falls back to the state tournament, as the Lady Indians were Area Runner-Up with a team score of 173.
