Shaw’s lock-down defense earns him first POW award
The BLITZ Boys Soccer Player of the Week, named by BLITZ, is Tallulah Falls’ Brit Shaw.

Brit Shaw claims his first-ever BLITZ POW award. He doesn’t put up the numbers you can tangibly see as he is an anchor on the back line. However, there’s no question he’s one of the top defenders in the area. The junior did get a goal to his credit last week for the #1-ranked Indians as they secured a 15-0 regular season. Shaw has been a 3-year starter on the defense and keeps pressure off keeper Kelton Reynolds, and his defense leads to Tallulah Falls’ offense, which has 108 goals on the season. Shaw is a critical part of the teams’ air-tight defense that has allowed just 3 goals all season.
