Juniors earn Golfer of the Week awards
The BLITZ Golfers of the Week Fan Vote was won by Tripp Dye (Jefferson) after taking 16,414 of the 31,473 total votes. BLITZ also named Habersham Central’s Jack Rowe as Co-POW.
TRIPP DYE – JEFFERSON
Jefferson’s Tripp Dye earns Golfer of the Week honors for the first time. The junior carded a 37 and finished as the low medalist in the Jackson County Championship. He also shot a 79 at the Mill Creek Classic.

JACK ROWE – HABERSHAM CENTRAL
Jack Rowe makes it POW award number 3 on the season, after the junior had perhaps the best week of his career. He played in 4 tournaments and won 3 of them. He shot a 76 at the Mill Creek Classic, and was low medalist in 9-hole tournaments against Rabun County (33) and Madison County (34). He then went to Tennessee and won the AJGA Tournament in a sudden death playoff win. He had 2 birdies and shot a 71. On the week, his 9-hole average was 33.5 and 18-hole average 73.5.
