LANDON HALL – TALLULAH FALLS

Landon Hall is becoming a star player (and really already was) at Tallulah Falls. He’s been vital to the success of the #1-ranked Indians, and last week had 3 goals and 1 assist over 2 matches. The sophomore forward this season has totaled 9 goals and 10 assists in a crowded and talented lineup that has racked up 94 goals this season, including 7 10-0 victories. This is Hall’s first POW award.

JAKE WEHRSTEIN – TALLULAH FALLS

Like Hall (above), Wehrstein is a mainstay on the Tallulah Falls juggernaut. The region championship (first for the school) and #1 ranking would not be possible without the defense. The junior center back does the things that don’t show up in a box score (although he had an assist last week). Wehrstein helped secure 2 clean sheets last week, and has been crucial to the 10 shutouts on the season (program record). This TFS offense lights up the board (94 goals) and gets plenty of attention – righfully so. But the defense….2 goals allowed ALL SEASON. That’s 0.2 per game! This is Wehrstein’s first POW award. He had an unbelievable goal-saving header with an empty net to preserve a shutout earlier this season. He’s an unselfish player willing to do anything to help his team win.
