The BLITZ Fan Vote for Girls Basketball Player of the Week was Denika Lightbourne (Tallulah Falls) after taking 18,754 of the 39,272 total votes. BLITZ then named Ellie Southards (Rabun County) as Co-POW.

Denika Lightbourne had an incredible week for the Lady Indians, scoring 30-plus in both contests. The senior guard is committed to Dayton, and averaged 36.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, 4.0 steals, and had one block. She shot 62% from the floor. This is her 8th career POW award.
