Guards Dewitt, Barrett grab Player of the Week awards
The BLITZ Fan Vote for Girls Basketball Player of the Week was Delaney Dewitt (Jefferson) after taking 11,422 of the 23,883 total votes. BLITZ then named Kyia Barrett (Habersham Central) as Co-POW.
DELANEY DEWITT – JEFFERSON
Jefferson’s Delaney Dewitt is becoming a name to look out for across Northeast Georgia. The sophomore guard over 2 games last week for the Lady Dragons averaged 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 steals per game. This is Dewitt’s first-ever POW award.

Somehow, some way, Kyia Barrett has not yet been named a BLITZ Player of the Week. Until now. The junior point guard has long led the Lady Raiders, and last week across a pair of games, Barrett averaged 17.5 points, 12 rebounds, 7.5 assists, and 1.5 steals on the way to her first POW award.
