The Dragons return 6 starters on a team that won 16 games a year ago and made a playoff appearance. First-year head coach Kyle Hardy will pen a new chapter in Jefferson history, taking over from longtime legendary coach Tommy Knight.

Jefferson will rely on Bowman Horn (.379 average, 22 R, 17 SB) and Jase Peoples (.368-3 HR-24 RBI-30 R) offensively this season, and someone needs to step up to replace the production that Spencer Neese brought on the mound (5-3, 3.09 ERA, 48 K). The team no doubt has experience and leadership on its side.

“Our team returns 1-7 in the batting order, so we expect to be able to score runs,” adds Hardy. “We play in a very tough region, but our goal is to compete for a region championship. We expect to be challenged throughout the regular season, and hope to make some noise in the playoffs. Our team is senior heavy (10 seniors), and we will have strong leadership.”
