Cooper, Yeh earn Player of the Week honors


The BLITZ Fan Vote for Boys Basketball Player of the Week saw 11,065 votes come in, with Hunter Cooper (Lumpkin County) taking the most at 5,167. BLITZ then named Jadon Yeh (White County) as Co-POW.

Hunter Cooper earns his second career POW award after a solid 2-game effort last week. The Indians senior guard scored 32 total points, averaging 16 per game, as well as 5 boards per contest for the week.

JADON YEH – WHITE COUNTY

Jadon Yeh is a weekly candidate for POW awards. The senior guard AVERAGED 32.3 points per game last week for the Warriors. That’s across 3 games. He also hauled in 7.3 rebounds and 3 steals per game, and shot 71% on his 2-point field goals and 39% from downtown, as well as 93% at the line. He had a game-tying triple at the buzzer in the loss to #5 Tallulah Falls to send the game to overtime. In that contest, he also became the school’s 2nd-all-time leading scorer. This is Yeh’s 4th career POW award.
