#6 Jefferson 42, #3 Loganville 6
The Dragons put up 42 on a top-10 defense, and held a top-10 offense to only 6. Sammy Brown went off for 6 total scores, as #6 Jefferson scored 21 in the second to pull away. After a Max Aldridge 31-yd TD pass to Brown in the first, Brown scored on TD runs of 2-, 34-, and 16-yds in the second to push the Dragon lead to 28-0 at the break. Brown added a 58-yd TD in the third and a 98-yd TD in the fourth. The Dragons now take the inside track for the region title after this huge top-10 win.
#2 Rabun County 52, Athens Christian 7
It was never close. Keegan Stover found Jaden Gibson for a 39-yd TD, and Lang Windham added a 3-yd TD in the opening quarter for a 14-0 lead. In the second, Stover and Gibson hooked up on a 15-yd TD. After a Willie Goodwyn INT, Stover connected with Noah Legault for a 21-yd TD and the 28-0. It was 35-0 before the break when Stover hooked up with Gibson for a third TD, this time from 7 yards out. In the third, a 31-yd Moises Figueroa FG made it 38-0. A FOURTH Stover to Gibson TD (13-yd version), made it a 45-0 game. Athens Christian finally got on the board, but Rabun got the final laugh on a Shaun Fruster 5-yd TD.

#6 Elbert County 41, Commerce 21
The Tigers saw their win streak snapped as Elbert took a 41-21 win in Commerce. The Blue Devils led 34-21 at the half though Commerce held an early lead when Tysean Wiggins scored from 3 yards out in the first. Wiggins scored again to push it to 14-0, putting Elbert on notice. By the second, the Blue Devils tied it up before Wiggins’ third TD run gave the Tigers their last lead at 21-14. Elbert scored 20 unanswered through the rest of the quarter, and 27 unanswered altogether as Commerce was held scoreless the rest of the game.
Lumpkin County 56, White County 35
It was a wild shootout in which Lumpkin County simply made more big plays as the game went on. White County made it interesting and held a lead in the first half. Cam Wilson’s 2-yd TD gave White the early 7-0 lead. Cooper Scott returned the favor to tie it up on his 9-yd TD later in the first. Just seconds later, Tripp Nix hit Ryan Fowler for a 72-yd TD as the Warriors went up 13-7. Scott had a 2-yd TD just 4 seconds into the second, and the XP put Lumpkin up 14-13. The craziness was just getting started, as Cam Wilson scored from 44 out on a sweep, and the 2PC was good to lift White County back up 21-14. The Indians responded with a Mason Sullens 4-yd TD to tie it up and his 11-yd score later in the second made it a Lumpkin 28-21 lead. Less than a minute later, Nix hit Kane Lowery on a 58-yd TD to again knot the score at 28 apiece. With 1:05 to go in the half, a pick six by Caleb Norrell went 26 yards to give the Indians a 35-28 lead, which they this time would not relinquish. After another interception just seconds later, Scott found Sullens for a 41-yd TD just before the half, giving Lumpkin a comfy 42-28 lead. Scott added a 4-yd TD late in the third for a 49-28 advantage, and White County finally got back with a Fowler 2-yd TD early in the fourth to bring it within 49-35. Two minutes later, Scott scored a rushing TD from 53 ticks out for the final score.

#3 Stephens County 30, Hart County 14
The Indians remained flawless in region play with a 30-14 win over rivals Hart County. It was a tight contest early as the teams ended the first tied at 7 apiece. An Indians FG early in the second gave Stephens a slim 10-7 lead. That held through the half, and in the third, a Stephens TD began to put some distance between with a 17-7 Indians lead. Early in the fourth, Stephens County put the dagger in with another score and the 24-7 lead. The Indians would add one more, as would Hart County the rest of the way.
Dawson County 17, Gilmer 7
The Tigers pulled out a close 17-7 win over Gilmer, staying alone atop the region standings in 7-AAA. Dawson got its scoring from RB Elijah Smith on a TD run, and a kickoff return for a score by Kenny Nelson. Dom LeBlanc also had a clutch field goal for the Tigers.

Union County 21, East Jackson 17
It was much closer than the Panthers would have liked, but they squeezed out a 21-17 final over East Jackson to remain undefeated in Region 8-AA.
Towns County 20, Warren County 8
Towns County hammered out a thrilling 20-8 win over Warren County to make a 2-game win streak and bring another win back to Hiawassee. The Indians’ defense played exceptionally well for a second straight game, and Towns is now 3-5.
North Forsyth 24, Habersham Central 14
The Raiders dropped a 4th straight ball game when falling by 10 at North Forsyth. That puts Habersham at 0-4 in region play.
Athens Academy 70, Banks County 13
Banks County saw Athens Academy put up 70 on them, as the offense was able to generate a couple of scores in a 4th straight loss.
