Diffenderfer, West named softball POW winners
The BLITZ Fan Vote for Softball Player of the Week saw 34,984 votes come in, with Ella Diffenderfer (Habersham Central) taking the most at 13,590. BLITZ then named Graci West (Commerce) as Co-POW.

Sophomore Ella Diffenderfer was nothing short of clutch for the Lady Raiders last week. The outfielder batted .800 with 3 RBI, 3 runs scored, and had an .833 OBP clip. This is Diffenderfer’s first POW award.

Meet the latest star softball player at Commerce. It’s junior pitcher Graci West. She’s in the midst of a really good season, and last week she put up video game numbers. The Lady Tigers standout hit .833 with 2 HR and 5 RBI, and added 2 doubles and 2 walks. She also went 2-0 in the circle with a 1.00 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 14 innings of work. This is West’s first POW award.
