Burrell, Mincey named Baseball POWs
The BLITZ Baseball Player of the Week fan vote collected 33,423 total votes. The top vote-getter was Habersham Central’s Konner Burrell with 16,515. BLITZ then chose Lumpkin County’s Will Mincey as Co-POW.
KONNER BURRELL – FAN VOTE
Habersham has yet another young player emerging as a big-time playmaker. That’s sophomore Konner Burrell. The pitcher/infielder showed up last week for the Raiders, batting .333 with 3 RBI. He also pitched to the tune of a 0.75 ERA across 9.1 innings, striking out 10 batters. This is his first POW award.

WILL MINCEY – BLITZ PICK
Will Mincey was awesome for the Indians last week in Lumpkin’s 3 games played. The senior infielder was 5-for-7 at the plate (.714 average). He had 6 RBI, 3 runs scored, a double, and added 2 walks and 2 hit by pitches to accumulate an .818 OBP. This is Mincey’s first POW award.
