NEW: Blitz to offer ‘Exclusive’ content for subscribers

For the past 13-plus years, BLITZ has been able to provide 100% of its content at zero cost to you – the consumer. Throughout that time, BLITZ was made possible entirely by support of local business advertising and sponsorship. While the coverage has continued to be as vast as ever before – covering 12 high schools in Northeast Georgia and all varsity sports at each school – the investment of time only increases. With it, the annual reach of BLITZ content averages 10-12 million per year.

Throughout the past two years with the coronavirus situation, there has been an increase in cost for materials, including for equipment, shipping fees, printing fees, etc., all the while as advertising commitments from local businesses drying up. In order to continue to operate and cover our local programs, we are moving to a semi- paid subscription online.

While not all of our online and digital content will require a subscription, our more in-depth content that gives great insight on the local programs, as well as opportunities to vote on Player of the Year nominees to become finalists, will be exclusively available for BLITZ subscribers.

Subscription fees are $5.99/month, with the ability to cancel at any time. Annual subscriptions are available at $55.55/year (23% discount), also with the ability to cancel at any time.

If you, your family, or your community has benefited from BLITZ coverage, please consider subscribing for the price of a cup of coffee per month in order to help make sure that BLITZ coverage can still exist for Banks County, Commerce, Dawson County, Habersham Central, Jefferson, Lumpkin County, Rabun County, Stephens County, Tallulah Falls, Towns County, Union County, and White County sports.

I personally have enjoyed all 13 years of covering these local schools and their individual programs, players, and coaches. The primary goal has been and will be to provide these schools and individuals coverage they deserve and in a way they are not getting elsewhere.

Subscribers will be given access to more insightful content that we produce, as well as being able to participate in special online votes regarding Player of the Year consideration.
