Crystal Ball: Week Eleven Predictions

Down to the final couple of weeks, and here’s what’s in store for Week 11.
DISCLAIMER: We dissect the numbers, check against other projections, utilize the brain and not the heart. If we pick against any of our beloved 11 programs, take it as a diss if you want, or use it as motivation. We obviously would love to see all 11 programs win every single game, so we’ll celebrate even if we’re wrong if it means our locals walk off the field as winners.
THE LOCALS (Home Games Listed First)
Union County Panthers vs #1 Rabun County Wildcats
Let’s try this again…Gunner Stockton goes for the all-time passing TD record. He tied it last week against Elbert in the second quarter, but a running clock for the entire second half meant he didn’t go ahead of Trevor Lawrence. First TD pass of this game will be the record. Union has some good momentum lately, and will look to see how far they’ve come when playing a powerhouse team like this.
VERDICT: Rabun County
#1 Jefferson Dragons vs #5 North Oconee Titans
The Dragons play host to #5 North Oconee in what is a GREAT game. Jefferson hasn’t been healthy in quite some time, at least not all their top players back together. Malaki Starks has missed a few games in a row, and Sammy Brown missed a game. The good news is others have stepped up and played very well. This one is HUGE!
VERDICT: Jefferson

Dawson County Tigers vs Lumpkin County Indians
The Tigers are coming off what would be a devastating loss, 21-14 to #6-ranked Cherokee Bluff that likely determined the region championship. However, Dawson is well-coached and won’t be worried about what happened. Instead, they’ll look to get back in the win column against Lumpkin.
VERDICT: Dawson County
White County Warriors vs Gilmer Bobcats
The Warriors have won 2 straight to get back in the playoff picture. This game’s importance can’t be overstated. White County needs this one to go to 3-2 in region heading into the finale against Cherokee Bluff. A win just about gets them into a playoff spot. A loss and the waters get real muddy.
VERDICT: White County

Stephens County Indians vs #2 Oconee County Warriors
Stephens County’s tough region schedule continues. After a heart-breaking 9-7 loss to Hart County, one of the top teams in the state comes to The Reservation. While we would pick Oconee here, don’t put it past the Indians to play them down to the wire and maybe steal a win.
VERDICT: Oconee County
Commerce Tigers vs #7 Washington-Wilkes Tigers
The Tigers and Tigers square off. Washington-Wilkes is a solid team, but we’re taking the home team here, especially with Jaiden Daniels running the way he is and Dreylan Martin doing the same. Trey Garnto has improved by leaps and bounds as well as the season has progressed.
VERDICT: Commerce
Towns County Indians @ Social Circle Redskins
Towns County takes on Social Circle. Being on the road is tough, but the Indians’ offense has been playing very well as of late. If the defense can hold the Redskins in check, look for Towns to earn the win here and bust a 3-game losing streak.
VERDICT: Towns County
