Golf State Championship Results – DAY ONE

The GHSA State Tournaments were held on Monday and Tuesday. Here are the official results.
COMMERCE
Cameron Ford was in 4th place individually after the first day, while Kristin Tash sat in 12th to help lead the Lady Tigers to a 4th place spot after day one. For the boys, it was Henry Sharpton (22nd place after the first round), who had the Tigers at 6th overall entering the final day.
DAWSON COUNTY
Alex Hughes led the boys through day one with a 9th place sitting, carding a 76. Will Howard (12th) and Andrew Hughes (13th) were just behind as the Tigers were 3rd place overall.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL
Habersham Central’s girls were in 9th after one day, with Selah Anderson at 21st to lead the way. The Raiders were represented by Charles Daniel, who carded an 85 to be in 61st heading into the final round.
JEFFERSON
Jefferson’s boys sit in 3rd, 19 strokes back of North Oconee. Micah Webb is 3rd individually, and Tanner Bronnum 8th. Webb sits 3 strokes behind the leader. The girls were represented by Shamiya Johnson, who is currently 39th among the field.
RABUN COUNTY
Connor Horton was in 4th place after the first round, shooting a 74 to help lead Rabun County to a 2nd place spot heading into the final round.
STEPHENS COUNTY
Katie Grace Randall is competing individually for Stephens, and finds herself 11th overall with an 85 after day one.

TALLULAH FALLS
The Lady Indians after day one sat in 4th place, just 9 strokes off the lead. Maggie Jackson was in 5th, and Brinson Hall 9th, as well as Hannah Lundy in 22nd place going into the final round.

WHITE COUNTY
The Lady Warriors finished day one with a 15-stroke lead behind Catie Craig’s 1-under 71. That has her tied for the lead with a North Hall golfer. Rylee Adams is in 7th, while Erin Dorsey is currently 13th. Jacob Adams as the lone Warrior was in 9th place after day one with a score of 76.
