Dawson, Habersham Central, Jefferson 2021 Football Schedules Unveiled

Still months away from any real football action, but a few local programs have already showed their hand of what their 2021 schedules will consist of. Dawson County, Habersham Central, and Jefferson schedules are now publicly available. Here they are:

AUG 20 – Cass
AUG 27 – @ Flowery Branch
SEP 3 – @ South Forsyth
SEP 10 – Northview
SEP 17 – BYE
SEP 24 – @ White County*
OCT 8 – @ Gilmer*
OCT 15 – West Hall*
OCT 22 – @ Cherokee Bluff*
OCT 29 – Lumpkin County*
NOV 5 – North Hall*

*Region 7-AAA Game

Dawson’s slate is strategic, playing some tough non-region opponents leading up to that first bye week, which comes before a big date with White County that could very well determine the region early on. The second bye week offers the opportunity to correct some things and get healthy before the gauntlet after that.

AUG 20 – @ Madison County
AUG 27 – Apalachee
SEP 10 – @ White County
SEP 17 – Stephens County
SEP 24 – Winder-Barrow*
OCT 1 – @ Buford*
OCT 8 – Dacula*
OCT 15 – @ Lanier*
OCT 22 – @ Central Gwinnett*
OCT 29 – BYE
NOV 5 – Shiloh*

*Region 8-AAAAAA Game

The Raiders’ slate features some intriguing local matchups that will draw a good gate, like White County and Stephens County. We love those two games to give us a really good picture of what to expect going into region play. That region once again will be difficult, but the Raiders did very well last season against those big names, and are more than capable of doing it again.

AUG 14 (Scrimmage) – Hart County
AUG 20 – Rabun County
AUG 27 – @ Central Gwinnett
SEP 3 – Southside (SC)
SEP 10 – @ Mountain View
SEP 17 – BYE
SEP 24 – Flowery Branch*
OCT 1 – @ East Hall*
OCT 8 – @ Cedar Shoals*
OCT 15 – BYE
OCT 22 – @ Chestatee*
OCT 29 – North Oconee*
NOV 5 – Madison County*

This schedule has some very good early tests for the Dragons, as the opening game against Rabun will be nuts! Then Flowery Branch in the first region contest will be a tough one, and may be the last tough one on the slate in reality. The first half of that season will be some good tests for Jefferson.
