Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week: Will McCraw / Jaquez Williams

Brand New for 2020 – the Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week. Long have people asked for the guys who do the dirty work to get more recognition. Now, they do. Each week in the 2020 season, we will recognize an offensive lineman (or the full line as it is often a joint effort), and a defensive lineman, sponsored by Habersham EMC.
This week’s winners are Will McCraw (Rabun) for the O-Line, and Jaquez Williams (White) for the D-Line.

WILL MCCRAW – RABUN COUNTY

Big Will McCraw continues his phenomenal junior season. The Wildcats junior offensive lineman (and defensive lineman) did work in the win over Pope in Week 7. McCraw graded out at nearly 90%, and recorded 6 pancakes as the offense put up 63 points. This is McCraw’s second Lineman of the Week award, and third if you count when he won as part of the entire Rabun OL weeks ago.

OTHERS WHO STOOD OUT: Commerce’s O-Line (Bo Childers, Payton Freeman, Lambdin Hardy, Mason Gaddis, William Suber, David King, Wesley Stilley)

Rabun County’s defensive end Chris Thompson earns his first-ever Player of the Week award after grabbing THREE sacks against East Jackson in Week 6. All told, the junior had 4 tackles and 3 tackles for loss in the 70-36 win for the #1-ranked Wildcats.
