Martin (Stephens), Dufresne (Jefferson) Earn Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week Award

Brand New for 2020 – the Habersham EMC Linemen of the Week. Long have people asked for the guys who do the dirty work to get more recognition. Now, they do. Each week in the 2020 season, we will recognize an offensive lineman (or the full line as it is often a joint effort), and a defensive lineman, sponsored by Habersham EMC.
This week’s winners are Colton Dufresne (Jefferson) for the O-Line, and Quanah Martin (Stephens County) for the D-Line.

COLTON DUFRESNE – JEFFERSON

Jefferson’s Colton Dufresne has been a weekly candidate for this honor, and finally gets the nod. Truthfully, this week in particular, the senior could have won it on both sides. On the O-Line, he registered a 98% grade and helped pave the way for the Dragons offense to roll up 259 yards of offense, and had multiple pancake blocks.
Also on the other side, he had great pursuit, and tallied a pair of key tackles in the win over Hart County. This is Dufresne’s first Player of the Week award.

OTHERS WHO STOOD OUT: Walker Thomason (Stephens County; 98% grade, 3 pancakes)
