Banks’ Jaden Hoard earns last finalist spot for Tennis Player of the Year
An intense battle broke out in voting for the ONE LAST FINALIST for Girls Tennis Player of the Year. It was Banks County’s Jaden Hoard who won with 23,664 total votes, edging Jefferson’s Sydney Tyler (20,668). Overall, 49,068 votes came in to support the athletes in the poll.
The junior Hoard was a perfect 7-0 playing at #2 singles in the abbreviated season. She joins teammate Chloe Smith, Bella Brock (Lumpkin), Samantha Hafermaltz (Dawson), Bryanna Ligon (Commerce), and Sarah Moore (Jefferson).
Next up comes the voting by our internal panel to determine Player of the Year. This is done Heisman-style (each voter ranking the finalists) to determine the winner.
