Habersham’s Jeb Barnette grabs last finalist spot for Tennis Player of the Year

Only 6,030 votes rushed in for BLITZ Tennis Player of the Year “ONE LAST FINALIST”, but it was Habersham’s Jeb Barnette who benefited the most. The senior, who plays at #3 singles, logged 3,619 votes to earn the right to make the finalist list alongside teammate Andrew Rabern, as well as Marcus Berninger (Jefferson), Laken Ferrell (Lumpkin), Pierce Martin (Banks), Garrett Roberson (Commerce), and Zhiyang Shu (Tallulah Falls).

Next up comes the voting by our internal panel to determine Player of the Year. This is done Heisman-style (each voter ranking the finalists) to determine the winner.
