Dragons make history, advance to State Championship

The Jefferson Dragons are in uncharted territory, navigating their way to the Class 3A State Championship after a 66-58 win over Central-Macon on Saturday. The opponent – Pace Academy.

Owen Parker and Kam Robinson both led Jefferson (22-7) with 16 points each, and Jacob Radaker closed with 15.

The Dragons led 14-9 after the first quarter of play, and stretched it to a 7-point lead by the half, 28-21. The low-scoring contest hit another gear in the third, where Central outscored Jefferson 21-14 to tie the game at 42 heading into the final stanza.
The Dragons, who have already made history by getting this far, are looking to secure their place in history with a state championship on March 5 against Pace Academy down in Macon.
