The Player of the Week award winners from softball are Emmaline Maney (Banks County), Brooklyn Pham (Lumpkin County), and Izzy Anthros (Union County). Craver won the Fan Vote with 11,085 of the 21,796 total votes, while both Pham and Antros were the BLITZ Picks.
EMMALINE MANEY – BANKS COUNTY
Freshman Emmaline Maney hit .500 for Banks County last week. The Lady Leopards’ catcher/DP had six hits including a homerun, five RBI, and two doubles. This is her first POW award.
BROOKLYN PHAM – LUMPKIN COUNTY
Freshman phenom in the making? Brooklyn Pham, a shortstop for Lumpkin County, batted .800 last week with two homers, six RBI, four stolen bases, and a double while putting together a 2.300 OPS. This is her first POW award.
IZZY ANTHROS – UNION COUNTY
Same ole song and dance! Izzy Anthros just continues to shine. Last week, the ace went 2-0 with 33 strikeouts, including 21 in a single game (Union County record). She also tallied her 700th career strikeout, and helped herself at the plate with two RBI, seven hits (.800 AVG), and four doubles. She takes her seventh career POW award.
