After 23,252 votes were casted, it was Habersham Central’s Christian King (10,640) who had the most votes, earning POW honors. BLITZ then picked Jefferson’s Lane Watkins Co-POW.
CHRISTIAN KING – FAN VOTE

Christian King has hit a new level for the Raiders. He has been a key part of the team’s success over the past three seasons, especially in 2019. In recent action, King hit .444 in a three-game stretch, driving in 5 runs and scoring 2. He added 2 stolen bases, and has been flawless (no errors) from behind the plate. This is King’s first Player of the Week award, but likely not his last.
LANE WATKINS – BLITZ PICK

Lane Watkins is once again a Player of the Week. After a three-game stretch last week, Watkins hit .700 with a homer, 9 RBI, and got it done on the mound with a win as well.
The Dragons are still perfect – 14-0 overall as the #1 team in the state and a flawless 7-0 in region play. Watkins is now a two-time winner of the award, and has signed to play college ball at UGA next year.
