The Area/Region Golf Tournaments are underway. Here are the results.

BANKS COUNTY

GIRLS – The Lady Leopards won the State Championship! They carded a 350, beating Dade County by a full 12 strokes. Tenley Maney was 3rd individually with a 169 (+25). Morgan Sparks (11th) had a 186, Julia Busenlehner (189) was 12th, and Presley Hobson (26th) had a 217.

BOYS – 7th Place for the Leopards. They finished with a 695 score. Those who competed: Thomas Nguyen (24th – 170), Lane Beasley (30th – 173), Tyson Maney (32nd – 174), LC McClure (47th – 180), and Tucker Brown (52nd – 184). Bentley Rylee and Colton Roper also competed.

COMMERCE

GIRLS – The Lady Tigers finished 9th, scoring a 415. Madelyn Shirley was 12th with a 189, while Addyson Martin was 30th with a 226.

BOYS – The Tigers were 12th with a 738. Will Bowen (15th) had a 162. Jacksen Wilson (181) was 48th, Hutsen Hewell was 61st with a 193, Colt Redmon was 65th with a 203, and John Pittard was 68th with a 208. Jax Holloway also competed.

DAWSON COUNTY

GIRLS – Pearl Hughes was the individual State Champion, posting a 4-over 148, winning by two strokes. She shot 4-under on the final 9 holes to secure the title!

FRANKLIN COUNTY

GIRLS – Ava McGee (17th) carded a 206, representing Franklin individually.

BOYS – Ryan Hart represented Franklin, and shot a 191, good for 60th.

HABERSHAM CENTRAL

GIRLS – The Lady Raiders came in 7th with a team score of 524. Charlotte Smith carded a 167 to finish 22nd. Macey Harrison (177) was 30th, Kadyn Green (180) was 33rd, Jamie Baker (196) was 49th, and Aedyn James (212) was 62nd.

JEFFERSON

GIRLS – The Lady Dragons posted a State Runner-Up finish with a team score of 362. Toribeth Condon (178) finished 6th, Addison Taylor (184) placed 9th, and Brooke O’Hara (216) was 25th.

BOYS – 6th Place for the Dragons, carding a 648 team score. Zachary Moore was 11th individually with a 157, including a 2-under final round. Kane Bute was 18th (161), Clay Breedlove was 37th (167), Jonathan Dumas (43rd) had a 168, Dalton Dye (48th) turned in a 171, and Taylor McCall (56th – 177) rounded out the team’s performance.

RABUN COUNTY

GIRLS – The Lady Wildcats were 10th with a 419 team score. Bella Hulsey (14th) carded a 190. Cheyenne Queen (32nd) had a 229, and Jayden Griggs (43rd) finished with a 249.

BOYS – Ty Truelove competed for Rabun, and finished 26th with a 171.

STEPHENS COUNTY

GIRLS – 7th Place for the Lady Indians, who finished with a 406. Reagan Elrod (201) was 15th, Cydney Addison (206) 17th, Taylor Beatty (216) 31st, and Allison Minchew (224) was 36th.

BOYS – The Indians finished 12th with a 737. Britt Jenkins (42nd – 179), Nathan Burgess (49th – 185), Owen Hornick (52nd – 188), Carter Rickman (57th – 190), Luke Waters (62nd – 192), and Tate Bartmas (72nd – 204) were the team’s scores.

TALLULAH FALLS

GIRLS – The Lady Indians were 6th with a 193. Maeve Hatcher came in 14th with a 90, while Handley James had a 103. Alex Rokoska carded a 114.

BOYS – The boys had four individuals qualify. Rylee Smith had an 81, coming in 46th. Tate Turpin (76th) had an 88, Owen Earp (89th) a 91, and Ryder Cantrell (95th) a 92.

TOWNS COUNTY

BOYS – The Indians finished 10th with a 759 score. Maddox Baltzell (21st) carded a 176, Leland Wilson (33rd) a 184, Daylen Sosebee (43rd) a 193, and Nate Colvin (56th) a 206. Will Garrard, River Chauncey, and Grayson Youngblood also competed.

UNION COUNTY

GIRLS – The Lady Panthers were 12th as a team with a 432. Sofia Charbonneau (21st) had a 207, Maddie Meeker (225) was 37th, and Ellas Fisk was 41st with a 244. Delaney Moses and Peyton Grisham competed as well.

BOYS – Hayden Price had qualified for state, but did not compete.

WHITE COUNTY

GIRLS – The Lady Warriors were 5th, turning in a 368 team score. Maddie Kate Hall was 9th with a 184, as was Addison Schindler. Lily Ellis was 18th with a 195, and Emma Rogers finished 22nd with a 208.
