Whitener, McClure Earn Volleyball Player of the Week Awards


The BLITZ Volleyball Player of the Week Fan Vote tabulated 65,907 total votes, with Tallulah Falls’ Barrett Whitener taking 30,849 to win the POW Fan Vote. BLITZ then named Jadelyn McClure (Banks County) co-POW.
BARRETT WHITENER – FAN VOTE

Barrett Whitener earns her first-ever POW award after a solid outing for the Lady Indians against Rabun last week. In that match, the senior middle blocker tallied 9 kills, 6 digs, and 1 ace. She recorded a 2.60 serve rating and .316 hit percentage.

JADELYN MCCLURE – BLITZ PICK

Banks County’s Jadelyn McClure put up big numbers once again. The junior finally claims her first POW award, and represents the 100th from Banks County all-time, as the setter had 79 assists, 72 digs, 37 kills, and 31 aces in matches played last week!
