Head Coach: Bryan Richerson (2nd Season)
2025-26 Record/Results: 18-10; Region 4th; Sweet 16; #8 Rank

Bryan Richerson’s first year over the Lady Indians was a smashing success, complete with a top-10 ranking and a Sweet 16 run. Now with a few returning starters, the objective will be to build off and improve upon that run.

PERSONNEL & STYLE OF PLAY

Key Players: Reagan Richardson, Anna Kate Davis, E.K. Reese

Key Departures: Maddie Lee (U.S. Merchant Marines), Alayna Lindley (Brenau)

Offensive Style: Mixture of half-court tempo and pushing the ball up the floor to create easy baskets

STRENGTHS & CHALLENGES

Strengths: “We will have some good interior size with Reagan Richardson and E.K. Reese and experience at the PG position with Anna Kate Davis,” says Richerson. “Some of our other role players got a lot of playing time last year, including Violet Greene who can really help us defensively and on the glass.”

Biggest Challenges: “We will have to find a balanced scoring attack from our team and figure out how to make up for the 30-plus points we lose from graduation. Also, we will have to adjust to the new region being overall a more athletic region.”

EXPECTATIONS

From the Coach: “Our expectations each year is to win a region championship, and make the state playoffs. We want to compete every night when we step on the floor and give our best.”

From BLITZ: EK Reese and Reagan Richardson automatically mean this team will be physical and have size in the paint. As coach points out, losing the guard play of Alayna Lindley and Maddie Lee is going to be hard to replace one-off, so there needs to be a surprise player or two this season for the Lady Indians to duplicate the success they had last year. Definitely possible, but we’ll be looking early on at the guard position to see who emerges.
