Boys Hoops Players of the Week: Zane Floyd & Jadon Yeh

The Player of the Week Fan Vote for Boys Basketball Player of the Week notched 8,340 votes, with Towns County’s Zane Floyd tallying 4,011 to edge out White County’s Kenny Simpson (3,174). BLITZ then picked White County’s Jadon Yeh as Co-POW.


Towns County has a glut of talent on the court this season, and one newcomer that’s already proving his worth is Zane Floyd. The freshman forward tallied 18 points in a season-opening scrimmage win, hitting multiple 3-pointers to ensure a win over Tallulah Falls. This is Floyd’s first POW award.

Jadon Yeh made a huge splash as a freshman for White County last season. He’s already off to a blistering start. In two games played last week, the sophomore guard went off for 42 points, 13 rebounds, 5 blocks, 3 steals, and 2 assists. That’s an average of 21 PTS, 6.5 REB, 2.5 BLK, 1.5 STL, and 1 AST per game. He shot nearly 52% from the floor. This is Yeh’s first POW award.
