Lady Leopards freshman slugs way to weekly award

Last week it was senior Jewels Ayers for Banks County doing the damage. This time around, it’s little sister and freshman Jacy doing her own impression of what the Lady Leopards do – mash the ball.

Freshman Jacy Ayers had about as good a clip as you can have in 10 at-bats. In that span, the designated player went 7-for-10 (.700 average) with a homerun and four doubles. That included driving in 4 runs and scoring 7 times. Her OBP of .700 was ridiculous, but more so was her 1.400 Slugging Percentage.

This is Ayers’ first Player of the Week award.
