Dawson County’s Kaylee Sticker finished her high school career weeks ago, but the awards continue to pour in. Sticker was named 1st Team All-State by USA Today on Wednesday.
A Clemson signee, Sticker scored 19.6 points per game this season and finisher her career with a school record 1,656 points. She was easily one of the most dominant players in the state, and helped guide the Lady Tigers to the postseason all four years, including an Elite 8 run this season and 22 wins.
Sticker was also named All-State by multiple publications, including AJC. The do-it-all Sticker (she played every position for coach Steve Sweat in her career) was also the BLITZ Player of the Year, and had a stat line of 19.6 PTS, 6.2 REB, 2.7 AST, 2.5 STL, and shot 40% from the floor. She scored in double figures in 27 of 31 games this season, including four 30-point performances.
Sticker helped lead Dawson to 73 wins over her four-year career as a starter, with two Elite 8 runs, a Sweet 16 run, and a First Round appearance. In that span, Dawson was ranked as high as #1 in the state.
