More than a dozen local soccer players were nominated by their coaches for BLITZ Player of the Year consideration. We narrowed that group down to five finalists for the award, which includes the reigning back-to-back winner of the award, Dawson County senior Dennis Pyetsukh.

Even though Pyetsukh missed the first seven games of the season, he returned in top form, scoring eight times in seven games to lead the Tigers into the state playoffs.

The finalists will be voted on (Heisman-style) by our BLITZ voting panel to determine the Player of the Year.
