Ledford, Cox collect Tennis POW awards
The BLITZ Boys Tennis Player of the Week Fan Vote winner was Sam Ledford (Banks County) with 14,605 of the 23,256 total votes. BLITZ then named TJ Cox (Tallulah Falls) as Co-POW.
SAM LEDFORD – BANKS COUNTY
Banks County freshman Sam Ledford has been solid in his first varsity action in 2023. The #1 singles player went 2-1 last week for the Leopards. He beat his Fannin counterpart 6-2, 2-6, 10-8 in a marathon match, and beat his Commerce opponent 6-0, 6-3. This is Ledford’s first POW award.

TJ COX – TALLULAH FALLS
Sophomore TJ Cox has been money all season for the undefeated Tallulah Falls Indians. The #2 singles player went 2-0 last week, and is 9-0 overall on the season. Nearly all of his matches have been straight-set wins. He won 6-3, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-0 last week, winning 24 of 27 games. This is Cox’s second career POW award.
