A player like Jadon Yeh isn’t ordinarily walking the hallways. He’s a ‘once in a blue moon’ type of talent that White County has been blessed with for several years. Now, Yeh can cross BLITZ Player of the Year off his seemingly endless list of accomplishments and accolades.

Over 100 games started (101) for Jadon Yeh, who ends his career with 1,836 points (2nd-most in school history). He averaged 24.4 points, 6.8 boards, 3.7 assists, 1.9 steals, and 0.5 blocks per game in his senior year, earning his second straight Region POY award. He was also named Preseason All-State and following his campaign as well. He shot 52% from the floor on all 2-point buckets, 38% from beyond the arc, and an amazing 91% at the charity stripe. He also collected 536 rebounds, 308 assists, and 199 steals in his illustrious career.

Voting included our 17-person panel made up of sports reporters, writers, video producers, former coaches, players, GHSA officials, and sports experts. The voting is Heisman-style, with the following points system:
1st place votes: 5 pts; 2nd: 3 pts; 3rd: 2 pts; 4th: 1 pts; 5th-6th: 0.5 pts
7th-8th 0.25 pts

Yeh was the overwhelming favorite for the panel. He collected 14 of the 17 possible 1st-place votes, and his other 3 votes were 2nd (2x) and 3rd (1). Hanna, Underwood, and Pittman all grabbed a 1st-place vote as well.

Jadon Yeh becoms the first White County player since Spencer Adams in 2013-14 to claim the hardware. He’s the third overall Warrior to win it, and 14th senior. A senior has either won or shared the award in each of the last 13 years, which always guarantees us a new winner next season. Yeh is the 5th pure guard to win POY.
