Bishop, Roberts claim POW awards
The BLITZ Fan Vote for Girls Basketball Player of the Week saw 51,010 votes come in, with Eva Bishop (Dawson County) taking the most at 19,613. BLITZ then named Naomi Roberts (White County) as Co-POW.

Dawson County’s Eva Bishop is making a name for herself here in her sophomore season. The sophomore forward/center produced a massive double-double of 18 points and 17 rebounds in the Lady Tigers’ game last week. This is her first POW award.

NAOMI ROBERTS – WHITE COUNTY
Naomi Roberts had a brilliant 3-game stretch last week the #6-ranked Lady Warriors. The senior guard/forward averaged 17.3 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.3 steals per game. She connected on 76.5% of her free throws, and shot 36.8% from long range. This is Roberts’ second career POW award.
