Goodwyn, Gordon earn Player of the Week honors

The BLITZ Fan Vote for Football Player of the Week saw 3,902 votes come in, with Willie Goodwyn (Rabun County) taking the most at 2,375. BLITZ then named Javin Gordon (Stephens) as Co-POW.
WILLIE GOODWYN – RABUN COUNTY

When Rabun County needed someone to step up in the first-round game against Dade County, Willie Goodwyn was one of those. The junior WR/DB tallied 9 tackles and 2 PBUs on defense, which is nothing new. But he also hauled in 68 yards receiving with 2 BIG touchdowns for the #2-ranked Wildcats. This is Goodwyn’s first POW award.
