The Wildcats and Indians came together for a top-10 matchup in which both teams were well-known for their high-flying offenses. The #2-ranked Rabun County squad won a 14-7 game that featured all of two touchdowns by the teams combined. It was Keegan Stover’s go-ahead score late in the third and subsequent two-point conversion that got Rabun in the lead after trailing 7-6. Jaden Gibson sealed the win with an interception with about a minute to go on a deep heave by Ben Stowe.
Rabun County was stalled several times on penalties and dropped passes, but notched an early field goal by Marcus Remillard to make it 3-0. Early in the second quarter, Javin Gordon pounded out yardage to get #9-ranked Stephens close to the goal line. TJ Everett found pay dirt to put the Indians up 7-3.
