After narrowing down a list of 24 boys tennis players to just five finalists, we opened it up for a public vote to add the LAST FINALIST. 4,451 votes were logged in total, and 2,592 of those were in favor of Commerce’s Vinny Ricci.

The senior #1 singles player, who posted an 11-6 record and was 6-0 in region play, joins teammate Jonathan Orozco as a finalist to be up for BLITZ Player of the Year. Aside from the Commerce duo, Aaron Eason (Jefferson), Robbie Fountain (Rabun), Zach Friday (Dawson), and Kevin Wonders (Habersham Central) are up for Player of the Year honors. BLITZ will vote internally Heisman-style for the winner.
