2022 Football Schedule: Stephens County Indians

Could this be the year for Stephens County? It appears as though everything is lined up for perhaps the best run since maybe 2005 (we’re talking about a Quarterfinal berth here). Last year, the Indians were 8-4 and lost in the second round to Burke County, and were ranked as high as #4 in the state. This team was electric, and return a glut of skill position players.

Yes, the defense lost some beasts…but still have plenty on that side of the ball back as well. This team will go as far as the offense will carry them, notably seniors Ben Stowe, Cam Lacy, Corey Richie, and Tyson Everett. Don’t discount the impact of rising sophomore Javin Gordon in the backfield also. The Indians averaged nearly 26 pts/game, and made the second round behind a defense that gave up just 14.8 per night. This team has all the potential in the world to go quarterfinals…or dare we say, beyond! The Indians unveil their 2022 schedule, which might be our favorite schedule out of all the local teams (tons of local draws, tough games, tougher region). Here’s the slate, and an exclusive breakdown of game-by-game and how the season could go.
