Stockton, Trimier Earn Player of the Week Honors

The BLITZ Football Player of the Week Fan Vote collected 18,713 total votes, with Stephens County’s Bryson Trimier taking 9,392 to win the POW Fan Vote. BLITZ then named Rabun County’s Gunner Stockton co-POW.

Bryson Trimier had a game for Stephens County in the 42-0 win over North Hall in Week Two. Trimier, a wide receiver and defensive back in his senior season, tallied 15 tackles, adding 15 yards receiving on two catches, as well as 12 punt return yards. This is Trimier’s first POW award.

Gunner Stockton is not new to this award. In fact, he’s now won 16 Player of the Week awards. He’s far and away the leader all-time there, as previous Rabun greats Bailey Fisher and Austin Jones (9 apiece) are the next closest. Stockton had a career night, tallying 7 total TDs (6 passing, 1 rushing) in a 47-14 win over #8 Pace Academy on ESPN. The senior QB had 403 passing yards, his second-most ever in a game, and 102 rushing yards. That’s over 500 yards of offense. It was amazing regardless, but even moreso when you think of how he did it without really having the ball in the fourth quarter (running clock, and Pace controlled the ball nearly all the way in the 4th).
