Union County tops the state in scoring; Jefferson, Rabun, Dawson, Commerce among leaders
High-flying offenses are out in full force this year. Just see our article outlining the regularity of 50-pt games!
GHSF Daily tallied up all the offenses for all the teams in the state, and leading the way across all classifications is Union County. The 6-0 Panthers average 50.67 points per game, and are led by Pierson Allison, Jonah Daniel, Sawyer Drake, and Kyle Morlock, as well as a stout offensive line.
Rabun County is 4th in class 2A (45.33/game), and are led by 5-star recruit Gunner Stockton and next-level WR Braxton Hicks, along with Sam Adams (10 rec TD), and Brody Jarrard at RB. Jefferson (45.20) ranks 2nd in class 3A. No one guy truly leads the Dragons aside from QB Colby Clark. The rest of the cast is so deep, and littered with playmakers. It’s a different guy almost every play. Dawson County (37.83) and first-year starting QB Zach Holtzclaw rank 8th in 3A.
Commerce (41.0) are 3rd in class 1A (public), and are like Jefferson in terms of depth and playmaking abilities, although the guys most commonly getting the glory are Tyleon Brock and Samuel Roach, along with Nate Ray.
