Tallulah Falls opens sports fitness center
Tallulah Falls – Students, faculty and staff at Tallulah Falls School now have access to a new Sports Fitness Center designed to enhance physical fitness and athletic performance.
The premier facility features specialized exercise equipment including four double-sided combo racks for squatting and bench pressing, various Matrix selectorized machines, a multi-use monkey bar rig for functional training and various other modalities to help with fitness routines. The new fitness center also has several new cardio machines such as treadmills, bikes, rowing machines, SkiErgs and an elliptical/stair climber.
“Our commitment to physical fitness and athletic performance remains steadfast,” said President and Head of School Larry A. Peevy. “This is another great addition to the TFS experience.”
Athletic Director Scott Neal spent time this summer planning and coordinating the improvements.
“We are thrilled with the GREAT opportunities this will provide regarding fitness, performance and overall quality of life. We are grateful to Dr. Peevy for his continued support in helping our TFS community thrive in life,” Neal said. “Everyone who has seen it has been impressed at the selection, range and functionality of the equipment. People are excited about the enhanced availability to improve fitness and performance that user numbers have instantly increased. We are so blessed at TFS!”
Dianna Neal, a fitness center manager and former collegiate strength and conditioning coach at the University of South Carolina, University of Notre Dame, University of Minnesota (Head Women’s Strength & Conditioning Coach) and the University of New Mexico, coordinates with athletes, students, faculty and staff to meet fitness goals.
