The one we’ve all been looking forward to for so long, a true 8-AA Region Championship game. This pits the top two offenses in all of Class 2A. Will it be a fifth straight region title for Rabun? We think yes, but that doesn’t mean it’ll be a walk in the park.  PREDICTION: Rabun Wins

#7 Dawson vs #10 North Hall

This game is HUGE! Winner gets the region runner-up finish and more importantly, a home playoff game at least for the first round. Two very good running teams here, but we like Dawson because of the elite defense to counter the triple option.  PREDICTION: Dawson Wins

#7 Commerce vs #1 Athens Academy

Huge let-down last week for Commerce in a heartbreaking loss to Riverside. Facing top-ranked Athens Academy will prove the be the toughest game of the year for Commerce.  PREDICTION: Athens Academy Wins

Habersham Central vs Apalachee

A win and they’re in for Habersham for the first time since 2011. How can we not pick them here, at home, for all the marbles? PREDICTION: Habersham Wins

Banks vs Elbert

The Leopards HAVE to win to get in. Elbert is a stud team though with plenty of talent on the field. It won’t be a walk in the park for the Leopards, but at home and facing a win or go home, we like Terrence Walker and the guys here. PREDICTION: Banks Wins

Lumpkin vs East Hall

Lumpkin is playing for bragging rights now, and at home, we take them in this game.  PREDICTION: Lumpkin Wins

Stephens @ #4 St. Pius X

The Indians are in the playoffs so this one won’t determine much. And it’s a ridiculously tough opponent on the road at St. Pius.  PREDICTION: St. Pius Wins

White @ #1 Blessed Trinity

The Warriors got a big win over Chestatee, but the Denmark loss the week prior still hurts. This game is against the #1 team in the state…  PREDICTION: Blessed Trinity Wins

Towns @ Providence Christian

The Indians play their crossover game looking to break a six-game losing streak. Maxpreps has the spread at 20 in favor of Providence. We don’t imagine it’ll be that big of a gap.  PREDICTION: Providence Christian Wins
