Ben McGinnis finished third among a stacked field, posting a season-best 17:04, about 20 seconds ahead of 11th place finisher and teammate Cody Wood.

McGinnis, a junior, also ran a sixth-place, 17:32 meet at the War Eagle Invitational at Chestatee to open the season, and has a PR of 16:44.

Frankie Muldoon - Dawson

Crump Tall GIF 2018Frankie Muldoon was runner-up on the girls side with a season-best time of 19:52. The senior, who is the reigning back-to-back BLITZ Cross Country Runner of the Year, has been a monumental part of the cross country program at Dawson County in her four years.

The Lady Tigers are currently ranked #8 in the state in Class 3A, and are poised to be podium contenders once again come November. Her career PR is 18:48. The second-place finish at this giant meet comes on the heels of a first-place finish in the season-opening War Eagle Invitational at Chestatee, where she ran a 20:23.

Muldoon, along with her two Runner of the Year awards, now has three Player of the Week awards to her credit as well, which — with five awards in total — is now one of just 13 athletes in BLITZ history to receive five or more awards.
