  1. Why is Cameron Ford from Commerce not on this list? But there’s a kid that has an average score of 122!!! Don’t mean that to be an ugly remark but come on…

    • Coaches sent their nominations in from their team, so for Commerce it was McRee obviously. We can’t take a whole team as nominations. Lumpkin’s nomination was their FRESHMAN. Every team is permitted to nominate who they wish. Commerce has a stellar team at the moment, so it’s not fair to compare their veteran group to other programs who are trying to build up to that

      • But White County has the Craig sisters who are both phenomenal. And Commerce could only add 1??? Cameron Ford and Kristin Tash are both freshmen and had a great season as individuals.

  2. Yes, they nominated the two…nothing against Ford & Tash. We note when the nominees list is out that coaches nominate their respective players. McRee was Commerce’ pick. We didn’t know Ford & Tash’s greatness until after the state tournament. Nominees had already been delivered and we just filled in their state scores after the fact.
