MARCUS BERNINGER

Marcus Berninger, if not for COVID-19, would have joined elite company in going over 60 wins for his career. He settled for 55, dropping just 4 matches in his varsity career at #1 singles. Berninger was a two-time BLITZ Player of the Year.


JOSH BURRIS

Josh Burris at 2-singles was an anchor for the Raiders. He was reliable and consistent from the beginning of his career (11-3 as a freshman) through his senior year (12-3). In between, he went 14-4 as a sophomore and 11-4 as a junior, giving him a final tally of 48-14, winning north of 80 sets in his career.


TJ COX

TJ Cox had a consistent career at 2-singles for Tallulah Falls. He was as reliable as any player in the area, posting a total mark of 53-14, ending his career with the 2nd-most wins in TFS history. He won 107 sets and 79% of his total matches, and had several clinching matches including for a region title as just a freshman while going 8-4. He was a perfect 15-0 as a sophomore in 2023, 12-6 in 2024 as a junior, and 18-4 as a senior in a State Runner-Up finish for the team in 2025. His 18 wins that year tied the school’s single-season record.


LAKEN FERRELL

Laken Ferrell was fantastic for the Lumpkin County Indians. The 2020 graduate combined for 32 wins against just 9 losses in his career, playing mostly at 1-singles. His win percentage was at 78%, and he was a multiple All-Region selection. He was 5-3 in his COVID-shortened senior season and 12-4 as a junior.


THOMAS FLOWERS

BLITZ HOF - Thomas Flowers WHITE CO

Flowers led the Warriors to an 8-8 season his senior year (2010), and was named BLITZ Player of the Year while putting together a solid 15-1 record at #1 singles. Flowers lost only once at #1 singles in his high school career, going 70-4 overall. Flowers went on to ABAC on a tennis scholarship.


CARSON KEENER

Carson Keener had a career marked with consistency. Aside from playing doubles one year, he went between #2 and #3 singles and collected a record of 34-12. He was an All-Region choice, and a 2018 Positive Athlete Northeast Georgia pick. The four-year starter was pivotal to the success of the Stephens County boys program.


GABE MARTIN

Martin was a solid #1 singles player for Banks County, guiding the program to its first Elite 8 in 2018. He notched over 30 wins and was a 2-time All-Region pick, as well as a former BLITZ Player of the Year. Martin was also a standout basketball player who excelled in his long range shooting.


BEN SMITH

Ben Smith was a mainstay in the lineup for the Stephens County Indians. At #2 and #1 singles, Smith put up double-digit wins each year from his sophomore thru senior season. That included winning 12 matches as a junior and 10 as a senior. He was a 4-time All-Region selection, and finished with an overall record of 46-10.


TREY WILCOX

Trey Wilcox

Wilcox played for both Rabun County and Tallulah Falls, and had stellar success in both places on the court. He was good. 41-2 good over a three-year span from 2015-17, three-peating as Player of the Year. He was 10-1 as a senior at Tallulah Falls. As a Rabun junior in 2016, he was a perfect 19-0, winning 93% of his games within matches and 100% of his sets. That’s domination. Even as a sophomore in 2015, Wilcox went 12-1, winning 91% of his sets and 75% of his games. Wilcox was first-team all-region all three years.


GRIFFIN WILKINSON

Griffin Wilkinson played most of his matches at #1 singles. He gathered up 32 wins there, and was a two-time All-Region selection for Stephens County.
