FOOTBALL – STEPHENS COUNTY INDIANS

The Indians officially locked down the region title with a win in the season finale against Morgan County. Stephens County handled it almost dominantly until the final minutes when Morgan got a scoop-and-score, onside kick, then a final TD pass. All good – Branson Stowe’s 5 TD passes and 369-yd performance secured the title!

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY – UNION COUNTY LADY PANTHERS

Union County won the GHSA State Championship for Class 3A. In the top-20 were: Tessa Schurter (11th), Kate Barrett (14th), Macy Payne (18th), and Neva Brott (19).

Lumpkin County won the GHSA State Championship, as Witt Windham won individually. Nickson McGillivray was 5th, Evan Good was 10th, and Paulo Ramirez 11th.
