It’s about time for some basketball! We present you with a team-by-team preview to get you up to date on where each school stands heading into the 2026-27 season. Team Previews are presented by My GA Credit Union!

Head Coach: Greg Wilson (3rd Season)
2025-26 Record/Results: 4-22; Region 5th; No Playoffs

The Stephens County Indians sported a 4-win season, missing the playoffs for a second straight year. With five combined victories over the past two years, it’s a great sign that this year’s team includes four returning starters and a key transfer in Macade Huff, who led Banks County in scoring last season AND Franklin County’s 2nd-leading scorer Hudson Huff, both of which are juniors. Stephens County is about to be the team to beat!

PERSONNEL & STYLE OF PLAY
# of Returning Starters: 4
Key Players: Colsen Ivey (SR), Isiah Patterson (JR), Wilson Stacy (SR), Ahmir Ivey (SR), Luke Seal (SO); Transfers Macade Huff (Banks County) and Hudson Huff (Franklin County) come in as juniors who were leading scorers for their former teams. Tucker Huff also comes in as a freshman.
Key Departures: Jayden Haynie (PG)
Offensive Style: Dribble Drive (4 Out – 1 In)

STRENGTHS & CHALLENGES
Strengths: “Depth and experience,” says coach Wilson.
Biggest Challenges: “Assimilating football players in after playoffs and a difficult region schedule.”

EXPECTATIONS
From the Coach: “The expectation is to play at a much faster pace with both improved guard play and overall depth.”
From BLITZ: Stephens County has a legitimate shot to do some real damage – after the football players transition. Isiah Patterson, Ahmir Ivey, and Macade Huff…however, Colsen Ivey is a key returning starter, and Hudson Huff and he will bond well until the football players come over. The Indians have legitimate powerhouse capability with the Huffs coming in and teaming up with the Iveys.
