The Player of the Week award winners from softball are Hannah Walden (Dawson County) and River Evans (Rabun County). Walden won the Fan Vote with 5,565 of the 6,713 total votes, while Evans was the BLITZ Pick.
HANNAH WALDEN – DAWSON COUNTY
Hailee Parham has been a mainstay for a long time for the Lady Raiders. The Habersham Central senior shortstop last week hit .571 with a homer, seven RBI, and three runs scored. Parham had a majestic walk-off grand slam, and added a double. This is her first POW award.
RIVER EVANS – RABUN COUNTY
River Evans was 2-for-3 last week with a .667 average, blasting a homerun, three RBI, and a run scored. This is her third POW award of the season and sixth of her career.
