The Player of the Week award winners from volleyball are Marley Rodriguez (Lumpkin County) and Anna Weathers (Franklin County). Rodriguez won the Fan Vote with 3,716 of the 6,122 total votes, while Weathers was the BLITZ Pick.
MARLEY RODRIGUEZ – LUMPKIN COUNTY
Lumpkin County has been ranked inside the top-10 all season, and Marley Rodriguez has been a big reason why. The senior defensive specialist tallied 14 digs and two aces last week in matches, and had a 1.60 SR, earning her first POW award.
ANNA WEATHERS – FRANKLIN COUNTY
Franklin County is setting the bar high once again as one of the top-5 ranked teams in Georgia. The Lady Lions’ junior Anna Weathers has been phenomenal as of late. Last week, she tallied 59 kills, 12 aces, and added a block to go with a .368 hit percentage. This is her first POW award.
