The three Player of the Week award winners from softball are Ella Fletcher (Stephens County), Suzanna Cabe (Tallulah Falls), and Kaelyn Utech (Dawson County). Fletcher won the Fan Vote with 14,867 of the 41,436 total votes, while Cabe and Utech were the BLITZ Picks.
ELLA FLETCHER – STEPHENS COUNTY
Ella Fletcher racked up five hits last week for the Lady Indians. The Stephens County freshman UTIL/2B hit .714 overall, and had a double. This is her first POW award.
SUZANNA CABE – TALLULAH FALLS
History maker! Suzanna Cabe has been a welcomed addition for the 3rd-year Tallulah Falls softball program. She’s already set several single-game, single-season, and career records in just a handful of games. The junior pitcher posted a 3-0 mark with a 1.21 ERA and 37 strikeouts last week for the Lady Indians. At the plate, she hit .800 with two homeruns and eight RBI, adding nine runs, a double, and five stolen bases. This is the first POW award for Cabe.
KAELYN UTECH – DAWSON COUNTY
Dawson County’s mainstay has been sophomore Kaelyn Utech. The outfielder last week hit .643 with seven RBI, eight runs, and five stolen bases, and also had three doubles and three walks. She’s an on-base machine, and now has two career POW awards.
