The Player of the Week award winners from volleyball are Mackenzie Yancey (Habersham) and Kalynn Watkins (White County). Yancey won the Fan Vote with 2,050 of the 5,951 total votes, while Watkins was the BLITZ Pick.
MACKENZIE YANCEY – HABERSHAM CENTRAL
Habersham Central’s outside hitter Mackenzie Yancey clobbered opponents last week. The junior had 45 kills, 12 digs, nine aces, and four assists in a monster week across four matches. This is her first POW award.
KALYNN WATKINS – WHITE COUNTY
Kalynn Watkins did a lot of everything for the Lady Warriors. The White County senior setter tallied 73 assists and 52 digs, huge marks across a week’s worth of play. She added 30 kills, and earns her third career POW award.
