The Warriors had several injuries last year to key players, which resulted in a low win total. However, young talent did emerge, and that talent is ready to shine this year. It will take healthy seasons from Gaines Clark and Zach Godfrey, and up-and-comers like Brinn Robinson, Jack Clark, and others to result in a playoff push.

There’s a new signal-caller, and it’s Brinn Robinson. He will have the shot to elevate the offense. The go-to RB will be Savion Anderson and young talent Jack Clark getting a lot of carries as well. Gaines Clark and Zach Godfrey make for one of the best 1-2 WR options in the state.

Defense: Multiple 3-4
On defense, White County will feature such players as SR DL Josiah Williams, SR LB Casey Crane, SR LB James Hart, Star SR Zach Godfrey, SR S Savion Anderson, and SR CB Kody Tuhey.

Trenches: “We return 4 OL that played a lot of football for us last year,” states Bennett. “Those returning are JBo Kastner – Sr., Josiah Williams – Sr., Mikey Moreno – Sr., and Brayden Shubert – Jr. We are also expecting big things this year out of: Dallas Fain – Jr., Maxx Medley – Jr., Jack Johnson – Sr., Zay Cheek – Jr., Robby Slaughter – Jr., and J.J. Morris – So. On the DL we return 4 guys that have Friday night experience: Josiah Williams – Sr., Zay Cheek – Jr., Mikey Moreno – Sr., and Jack Johnson – Sr. We are also expecting big things out of Sam Harkins – Sr. and Robby Slaughter – Jr. on the defensive line.”

STRENGTHS & AREAS OF FOCUS

Strengths: “The strength of this year’s team is our skill players,” says Bennett. “We return a lot of skill players that have Friday night experience that we are excited about. This group is led by seniors Gaines Clark, Zach Godfrey, Savion Anderson, Kody Tuhey, James Hart, Chris Nunnally, and Reese McGuire. We are also expecting big things out of John Jarrard – So., Carrson Ward – Jr., Jack Clark – So., Stephen Frost – Jr., Jonathan Shipp – Jr., Ben Colon – So., Jaxin Hoosline – So., Coleman Dockery – So., Cole Nash – So., and Isaac Gabler-Bonner – Jr.”

Focusing On: “The biggest areas of focus offensively has been improving the offensive line and replacing our QB,” states Bennett. “I have really been pleased with both areas. We have a good group of offensive linemen that got Friday night experience last year. I expect seniors JBo Kastner, Josiah Williams, and Mikey Moreno to lead this year’s group. We are excited about the depth we are building as well with players Brayden Shubert – Jr., Dallas Fain – Jr., Maxx Medley – Jr., Zay Cheek – Jr., Jack Johnson – Sr., Robby Slaughter – Jr., and J.J. Morris – So. We will also have a new QB this season, junior Brinn Robinson. Brinn had a great offseason, spring and start to the summer. He is athletic and can make all of the throws. He has done a great job of running the offense, making great decisions, protecting the football, and getting the ball to our skill players in space! Defensively, the biggest focus is replacing our Mike Linebacker, Reid Penrose from last year. We currently have Lucian London – Jr., Jonathan Shipp – Jr., Cole Nash – So., and Caleb Crane – So. competing there.”
